Turn a broad idea into a project you can finish. This checklist helps you choose a starting point, learn the tools and improve with feedback.
1. Choose a Small Goal
Describe your project in one sentence. For example, you could build a short obstacle course with a clear finish. Write down what a player should understand in the first minute. Leave extra levels and complex systems for later.
2. Learn From the Official Tools
Use the Roblox Creator Hub to find current introductory documentation. Follow a tutorial, then change one part yourself so you can see how it works. Save copies of your project before making large changes.
Opens the official Roblox Creator Hub in a new tab.
3. Build the First Playable Version
Focus on the main interaction. Make the starting point, instructions and finish easy to find. Test the controls and watch for places where a player can get stuck. Clear feedback matters more than extra decoration.

4. Watch Someone Try It
Ask a friend to play without explaining every step. Notice what they try first, where they pause and what they enjoy. Ask for one improvement they would make. Their actions often tell you more than a general rating.
5. Improve One Thing at a Time
Fix the most confusing part first. Test the revised version before adding more content. Keep a short list of what changed and why, so you can learn which changes helped.
Keep Your Expectations Clear
Publishing a project does not guarantee players, sales or earnings. Read the current platform requirements before uploading assets, buying tools or enabling monetization. Never share your password, recovery information or authentication codes with a guide or a player.
